Best FB Pages App Update for iPhone Yet

A new update to the Facebook Pages App should have the marketing world buzzing with excitement with the addition of scheduled posts. Until now, there’s been no real easy, good, or free way to schedule posts to business pages. Now when inspiration for that perfect post happens at 4am and you know no one is awake, you can schedule it to show up during peak online hours. It would also be a good idea to schedule a few posts a week to drive traffic back to your website, online offers, and all around cool stuff for your audience to enjoy. Think of how much more you impact you could have spending half-an-hour each week actively scheduling targeted posts, instead of trying to think of random ones on the spot.

To schedule a post all you have to do is update your status like you normally would, except tap the little clock icon on the left of the screen (between the status box and the keyboard). This will pull up the usual iPhone calendar wheel. Now pick the date and time you want it to go out, hit the POST button and Voila! If you want to see a list of all your upcoming posts, go to your home page and click the FILTER button in the top-right corner and select SCHEDULED POSTS. You can also delete posts here. Just swipe your finger right to left over the one you don’t want and click on the X that appears.

The only thing this app is still missing is the ability to read and comment on other pages posts like you can on the desktop version. That and it’s still slow to show likes and comments on your own wall, even after manually refreshing the page you’re on. At least the notifications show up right away tho. What do you think? Have you used the new update to schedule any posts yet and what kinds of posts do plan to schedule? Use the comment box below to discuss your ideas.
